Fynlee & Grandpa Roy

Sorry I haven't updated in a few weeks. We sure have been busy! Ian's been working alot, Fynlee and I spend our days taking walks in the stroller, watering flowers, enjoying the sunshine, and spending time with grandma Susie. This past weekend was my birthday, Ian managed to get Thursday night off and was off all day Friday. We spent Thursday night in Waseca; went out to eat and stayed at grandma Cindy's house. Friday we spent time with grandma Cindy and cousins Cade, Beckett, Laney, & Piper. :) We also payed a visit to Grandpa Roy and Delores as well as neighbor pastor Haug; who will be baptising Fynlee.
Fynlee is now sleeping mostly through the night which is a HUGE plus for Ian and I. Thursday night when we stayed at Ian's mom's house she slept for six hours without waking for a feeding or diaper change...AMAZING child! She's started cooing alot, copying facial expressions and there's always lots of smiles from this little peanut! Everyone is enjoying her and we couldn't be happier.

Picture Perfect

Friday, May 15th I brought Fynlee to Waseca to have pictures taken by Jennifer Nace. It was so fun and I couldn't believe how well she did. She slept for the first 45 minutes or so and then woke up to greet Jennifer with a HUGE smile and a "who are you lady" :) haha Jennifer refers to Fynlee as our genious child; she wanted to take her home for herself! Friday night Fynlee spent time with Grandma Cindy and Aunt Kristin :) some much needed bonding time! Saturday we went shopping over at Medford at the Gap with Grandma Susie. In the evening we met up with daddy and all the great grandparents to celebrate the grandmas' birthdays at the Hubble House in Mantorville; yum yum! Fynlee and I look forward to spending the day with Ian tomarrow for he is off!

Sleepy Girl zzzzZZZzz....

*Fynlee sure is a sleepy girl we have come to find but of course that is a given with a newborn :) When she is awake she is quite the happy girl! It sounds crazy but I feel like she has changed a lot in just the short time that she's been home. She's developing a personality and when this girl is hungry, you'd better drop everything and feed her because she plans to go to town *little chunker* Tuesday she had her first Dr visit with Dr. Kristin Ardnt. Things went very well and she is developing and gaining weight beautifully. Fynlee had her first big outing yesterday with mommy and grandma Susie; we ended up going into the salon to visit mommy's salon family and shopped around at the mall, we even hit up the Olive Garden. I was nervous at first to take her out all day but all she did was sleep in her stroller; what a great baby! Today we are just relaxing at home with daddy; happy to have him off today! We took a stroller ride this afternoon and sat and enjoyed the fresh air in the back yard!

You Are My Sunshine

Today is Ian's last day at home with Fynlee and I after being off for a week *tear :( thank goodness he will be off again Friday, we sure will miss daddy around the house during the day until then! Today we had an at home nurse visit and it went very well. She went over some information and answered any of our questions. Fynlee sure was fond of her; scoping her out the entire time. We spent some time in the back yard enjoying the sunshine while we watched Ian put together my new hammock he got me for becoming a mommy :) Tomorrow Fynlee goes for her one week check up and grandma Sue and aunt Carley will be comming for a visit :) We are very much so enjoying and loving life to the fullest with our new baby girl!

Labor&Delivery

Phew....I'm glad that's all over :) What an experience for Ian and I. Ian was so supportive and sweet during my 27 hour labor process! :S We knew Fynlee was going to be a stubborn one, going into induction day I was expecting to at least be some what dilated, surprise surprise, nothing! They ended up using three different ways to induce me. At last the third one was a charm. Fynlee Berlynn Srp was welcomed into the world at 10:49 am, weighing 9lbs 4oz and 21 3/4" long. Proud pappa Ian was there to cut the cord :) I couldn't have asked for a better labor coach than Ian; what an amazing father he already is *tear* I have a feeling she's going to be a daddy's girl! After delivery I was feeling good, I wanted to get up and about and feel like a human being again after the whole process. I ended up not realizing what my body was telling me; to slow down and relax, this is all new to you. I ended up blacking out twice and loosing alot of blood. Our Dr, Dr. Mckean recomended a blood transfussion since my hemoglobin was scarecly low. It ended up being a success and it feels great to be home with our baby girl and to have Ian off of work for a week. I'm going to be an emotional wreck Tuesday when it comes time for him to go back :( Thank you for following our newest addition to our family's blog "Our Little Cupcake" Enjoy*
